Our technology collects real-time customer (or user) data while they interact with your website or web-based applications.

By placing a single javascript tag onto each web page on your site (or into a single template file that is included in all others), the EchoCurrent Customer Intent Engine is activated.  The script listens for customer activity and streams that information to the EchoCurrent service (on our servers).  The Customer Intent Engine focuses on two different types of customer activity:

1. Context Mining- EchoCurrent collects text-based information from your customer's visit. This includes search terms, keywords, tags, link text, page description and more. The EchoCurrent Engine dynamically weights these terms in order to define the context of your customer's visit. In other words, we get a feel for why they are on your site and in what they are interested.

2. User Interface Pattern Recognitiion - EchoCurrent listens for specific user activity on your website and can react to certain patterns of usage in real-time. You just need to define the "events" that you are interested in and our tooling automatically tells the EchoCurrent javascript what activity to listen for. This includes clicks, mouse-overs, web analytics, page-based data and more. When an event is detected, EchoCurrent has a hook to take immediate action on either the web page or to some back-end system.

Collectively, we call the captured data the Customer "Echo".  This is where our name, EchoCurrent, comes from.

Another part of the Customer Intent Engine is our rules-based Event Correlation component.  This is the technology that we use to listen to the Customer Echo and, when certain patterns or text-based information appears in a customer's interaction, fire a real-time event in order to take some kind of action.

Together the Context Mining and Pattern Recognition form a powerful Customer Intent Engine that can be used to drive many different website behaviors. We literally know what the visitor is doing on your web-site, in real-time, including what products they look at, what links they follow, and what blog posts they read. We put all this data together, determine what is most relevant, then feed this context into the various EchoCurrent components and widgets to make your website smarter. We are designing and building a family of components to drive better product and ad matches, keep customers on your site longer, deliver coupons and offers at just the right time, and give customers a chance to tell you what they think without rude, random pop-ups.
